This program funds projects to create, expand, and maintain long-term export markets for U.S. agricultural commodities and products. It is open to nonprofit U.S. agricultural trade organizations that promote exports and do not have a business interest in specific sales; applicants must also have an active SAM registration. USDA/FAS anticipates about $69 million in federal funding and about 20 awards, with awards available up to the maximum program amount. Cost share is required, with the minimum level set by regulation and allowed as cash or in-kind contributions. All U.S. agricultural commodities except tobacco are eligible, and applications must be submitted through the UES system by the deadline.
